JOEY CLUB

For Year 1 - Year 6

Looking for help to build your child's emotion regulation and friendship skills?

Emotion regulation refers to a person's ability to effectively manage and respond to an emotional experience.  Our capacity to emotionally regulate will impact our general mood, friendships and relationships, and self-confidence.

It is very common for kids to experience challenges with emotion regulation.

That's why we provide fun, engaging sessions for kids in years 1 - 6 to learn practical emotion regulation skills and how to interact positively with their peers.

With our program , your child will be assisted to develop the essential emotion regulation skills needed to make and maintain friends, handle difficult situations, and communicate effectively.

We also run some joint child-parent sessions so that your child can show you what skills they are learning so you can help them to implement the skills when needed.

Who is JOEY CLUB for?

If your child is experiencing emotion regulation challenges, know that you are not alone.  Joey Club is a weekly program.

The program is aimed at children who are:

  • needing extra assistance with emotion regulation

  • finding it difficult to make and keep friends

  • struggling with their confidence

  • not managing conflict effectively

  • experiencing anxiety or reporting often feeling sad

These sessions provide a safe space for kids to learn emotion regulation skills and build their confidence in a fun and natural setting.
